The Zaan region tastes like more

The Zaan patterns

Among other things, the Zaan region is known for its chocolate industry, Zaan mustard, the river Zaan, the beautiful Zaan cottages and Zaan mayonnaise. These icons have been incorporated into our corporate identity as patterns. In the new campaign: De Zaanstreek tastes like more, we have put these patterns at the centre, because we are proud of them! Perhaps you have already spotted the campaign signs with colourful patterns along the road?

There are so many different flavours in the Zaan region, it tastes like more! In the coming year, we will use this umbrella campaign to show what there is to see and experience in the Zaan region. Art & Architecture

Under the heading 'the art of experiencing', the Zaanstreek Marketing Foundation is inviting people to experience architecture and art inZaanstreekZaans this spring. Zaans.nl offers tips for activities and locations that highlight the region's special architecture and arts.

In the Zaan region, you will find a multitude of building styles, shapes and colours. From authentic timber construction to Dutch Renaissance and reinterpretations of old styles. In addition, the region has a warm heart for art and more and more galleries and art initiatives are popping up.

During the campaign period, venues and activities that have something special to offer in the field of architecture and/or art can be recognised by a campaign sign on the façade.

The campaign runs from March 21 to May 27, 2022.

ZAANS ON YOUR PLATE!

In the run-up to the holidays, Marketing Zaanstreek is sharing recipes that use Zaan region products. Including the favourites of some well-known faces from the region.

In addition, when you buy certain regional products at the Zaan store, you will receive a special recipe as a gift from a Zaan chef or cookbook author.

The website Zaans.nl will be all about 'Zaans on your plate' for the next few weeks. Marketing Zaanstreek director Anneke Wijdogen-Vis: "We live in a region that used to be called the larder of the Netherlands. We are still a region of makers and many of tZaanstreekZaans makers are flavour makers. We thought it would be really nice to see that reflected on the signs of all Zaankanters in the coming period."

Finally, people are invited to become Zaans makers themselves while visiting the Verkade Experience, the Cacao Experience at the Zaans Museum or at the Hemlab.

Keep doing fun things!

Getting out and about regularly helps combat the drudgery of everyday life. And having fun is perfectly possible in the Zaan region, as this campaign by Marketing Zaanstreek shows.

From mid-September to 5 October, Zaans.nl offers plenty of ideas so that people can go out regularly with their partner, a friend or the family.

From a day out during Zaansche Molendag to an evening of laughter at the theatre with a friend with cocktails after or a crazy afternoon of trampoline jumping with the kids topped off with a tasty pancake.
