Kooger Vermaning

Sundays 10am-11am. In the old wooden 17th-century exhortation (with 19th-century stone conversion) a simple service where our preacher Jaap Brusewitz presides once a month. Despite (or thanks to) the simplicity of the service and the small community of faith, it is a place where a sometimes somewhat informal atmosphere is combined with attention to new perspectives in line with the spirituality of our time.
Other Sundays are filled with guest preachers, the open liturgy group or members of the congregation.
The Sunday church service is still one of the places in society that can be called a public social space, just like a café, a place where people meet; after 11 p.m., by the way, it automatically becomes that, because then there is coffee for whoever wants it. A few times a year there is a poetry service, where people recite a poem of their preference, with a personal story of why this poem.

The open liturgy group works with different themes that involve members, friends and interested members of the congregation.
