Fort bij K'IJK

Is part of the former Defence Line of Amsterdam. According to a specification drawing from 1902, the battery must have been built around that time. With the front facing northwest, the secondary battery was placed in such a way that not only the northern forecourt of the fortress could be covered on the front side, but also the inundation dyke running from the fortress to Krommeniedijk. The concrete work (crushed concrete) consists of two gun emplacements, sandwiched between three ammunition magazines. In location and construction, this secondary battery is very similar to the one at Fort Ham.
