Directeurswoning

This spacious villa in the Amsterdam school style was built in 1927 for the then managing director, Mr Allan, of paper factory Van Gelder Zonen. It is therefore still popularly called 'Allan's villa'. The expressive roof planes with spacious gutter overhangs are striking. Paper mill Van Gelder Zonen was Wormer's largest employer until its closure in 1980.
