Mathieu van Bellen and Maria Milstein have embarked on the realisation of a wonderful, but also ambitious dream: to establish a chamber music centre. A place where musicians can retreat to devote themselves fully to music. This venue offers young chamber musicians an excellent opportunity to develop further, discovering and forming their personal and collective musical identity and unity.

MuziekHaven will be located in the historic Schuurkerk on Papenpad in Zaandam. Together with its three-storey rectory and large garden, this location lends itself perfectly to creating a home base where young musicians can develop and prepare themselves in peace and quiet for concerts on major stages.
The rectory will have a number of smaller rehearsal rooms and also accommodation for visiting musicians during multi-day rehearsal periods. Besides rehearsal space, the church will also function as a concert hall, have excellent acoustics and be suitable as a studio space for recordings.
We look forward to welcoming musicians for intense residencies, master classes, concerts, educational workshops and much more, just a stone's throw from Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport.
