Sinterklaas in the Zaan region
Entry Zaandam - 15 November
On Saturday 15 November, Sinterklaas and his steamer will dock at the Prins Hendrikkade in Zaandam. Around 13:00, the holy man will set foot ashore, after which the big Sinterklaas party will erupt on the Burcht.
Mayor Hamming will officially welcome Sinterklaas and then there will be plenty of performances, shows, attractions, treats and surprises for young and old.
Between 15:15 and 15:30, Sinterklaas will leave with his Pieten for a festive tour towards the centre of Zaandam. There he will end the afternoon with a merry closing show until 4pm.

Entry Assendelft - 16 November
On Sunday 16 November, Sinterklaas will arrive in Assendelft. At 13.45 hours, the merry procession with the Saint and his Pieten will leave from the Odulphus church towards the Koppieplein at Dorpsstraat 350, where Sinterklaas will be welcomed around 14.00 hours. There, the party is already in full swing from 13.30 with dancing, music, a craft corner and a Pietenparcours.
Entry Koog aan de Zaan
On Saturday 15 November, Sinterklaas will arrive in Koog aan de Zaan. He will arrive on Raadhuisstraat under the Coentunnel viaduct at 14.00, after which he will receive a festive welcome on Kerkplein. From 13:30 onwards, the Muziekpiet will already be providing pleasant St Nicholas songs there.
After the welcome, Sinterklaas will make a tour of the village around 14.45 hrs. Around 15.15, he will stop at Troelstraplein, where he will get out of his carriage to shake hands with the children. The Muziekpiet will also be there to complete the party.
Entry Krommenie
On Saturday 15 November, Sinterklaas will arrive in Krommenie on his delivery boat. He will dock at the quay of the Vaartdijk around 15.30, where the party will be in full swing from 15.00 onwards. Sinterklaas songs are sung, the Pieten hand out sprinkles and of course Sinterklaas has a kind word for everyone.
Around 16:15, the procession departs from the Vaartdijk for a festive trip through the centre of Krommenie. The afternoon ends at community centre De Pelikaan on Kervelstraat, where Saint Nicholas and his Pieten will celebrate with the children for another half hour.
