Celebrate summer by the water on this lovely terrace overlooking the North Sea Canal. Enjoy drinks & bites together and come play a game of pool, jeu de boules or one of the other games during drinks.
One of the Netherlands' most unique locations will not be deserted this summer, as the Balkenhaven Pop-up Terras race will be open in Zaandam from 20 June. Expect tables full of tasty bites, drinks and fantastic views. This terrace on the North Sea Canal is the ultimate place to sit, drink and eat all day and evening. And that's not all, you can also challenge your friends to a game of pool or petanque during your weekly get-together. Even when the weather is less clement - it remains the Netherlands, of course - you don't have to worry. You can still have a drink inside at the bar, in the conservatory or on the covered terrace.
Make sure you book in advance so you are guaranteed a chill spot on the terrace, by the water or inside at the bar so you can eat, drink and play all day and/or evening.
Balkenhaven Pop-Up Terras is open on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 10:00 - 22:00 and on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 - 23:00. Reservations can be made via our website.

Besides private parties, we also offer rooms for commercial hire. Are you looking for a location to hold a business presentation or temporarily run your work somewhere? Or do you have a nice idea of your own to organise or set something up at the Balkenhaven pop-up? We can keep one of the spaces free for you and are open to all kinds of fun suggestions. Here too, we take the RIVM guidelines into account.
