Het Schoorlstrand slopes gradually and the shallow part is separated by a ball line. There is no supervision, so you have to watch yourself. Within walking distance of this beach is Paviljoen Twiske. Here you can buy snacks and go to the toilet. South of het Schoorlstrand is a surf spot.

On het Schoorlstrand is Het Smaal, a wooded area where you can take a heerlijk walk. Het Smaal is the only landscaped forest area in Het Twiske and here you will find a wide variety of trees and shrubs, such as pedunculate oaks, alders and beeches. The spotted woodpecker, jay, garden warbler, blackhead, sparrowhawk and chiffchaff also find Het Smaal an ideal habitat.

Barbecuing and dogs are not allowed on het Schoorlstrand . Barbecuing is allowed on the nearby play ditch.
Bathing water quality
The province of Noord-Holland monitors the hygiene and safety of the official swimming areas from 1 May to 1 October. If a warning or swimming ban is required, it is announced on the beach with a sign.
