When the A7 was constructed, the Jagersplas was created in the 1960s. At some points as much as 38 metres deep! Around the lake a nature and recreation area was created with (swimming) beaches: the Jagersveld.
The area offers plenty of opportunities for hiking, cycling and surfing, among others. A wonderful place to play and exercise.
In high season, cottages with toilets and showers are open near the beaches. The quality of bathing water is closely monitored and can be checked on Zwemwater.nl.
Dog's Dream
The Jagersveld offers kilometres of walking fun for you and your four-legged friend(s). There is even an off-leash area with a dog beach!
You will find this off-leash area on the left if you take the main entrance from the car park and cross the first bridge. You can go here all year round.
At the beach
In the summer months, the Jagersveld is a popular spot for swimming. With manicured beaches and water that is emphatically monitored, it is one of the nicest places to cool down.
