Become a volunteer guide in the Zaan region!

The Zaan region is full of stories. About mills and tastemakers, about villages and the Zaan, about past and present. Stories that only really come to life when someone tells them.

The Zaanstore and Babel Zaans Architectuurplatform are looking for volunteer guides who want to take visitors and residents on a voyage of discovery through the region.

As a volunteer, you make a difference. You make people see things differently, tell, surprise and connect. Do you opt for the lively city history and experience of the Zaan store? Or will you go for architecture, landscape and spatial development at Babel? Whichever direction you choose: you give each tour your own twist.

Experience is not necessary. With joint training and good guidance, we will help you get started.
